Edye: Collierville, Tennessee, United States; Cooking as a child was near impossible. Navigating the kitchen was challenging. My mother is left handed and insisted on having all left handed appliances including a left handed refrigerator. there's nothing like getting smacked with a left-handed refrigerator door. Most of the time I just admired from a safe distance. Cooking was desired and admired but not attempted until high school. I began to roll up my sleeves and learn. Trust me, I have had my fair share of failures but now I am confident that I have a talent worth sharing. A few years ago I began working in the Mid-South with one of the largest privately owned groceries in the country. I work for a specialty department called Schnucks Cooks. I give free recipes, samples and cooking advice. the recipe cards, are tested, created and offered by Schnucks. I offer samples and recipes to those who can stop by the store. Many of the tips and tricks to make cooking easier are mine. One of my favorite quotes is "do something you love and you will never work a day in your life".
